Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Visits Uttarakhand, Attends Central Regional Council Meeting

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh is on a two-day visit to Uttarakhand. During his visit, he attended the meeting of the Central Regional Council, chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Narendra Nagar. The meeting was attended by Chief Ministers and senior officials from partner states, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Uttarakhand.

The Central Regional Council meeting focused on various common concerns, including issues related to water resources, interstate connections, power supply, and river water sharing. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received a warm welcome from BJP Uttarakhand office bearers upon his arrival at Dehradun’s GTC Helipad.

Chief Minister Adityanath will perform puja at Kedarnath

As per the schedule, Chief Minister Adityanath will perform puja at Kedarnath on Saturday and spend the night at Rudraprayag. He will then depart from Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport and return to Lucknow.

Home Minister Amit Shah also presided over the Central Zonal Council meeting in Narendra Nagar, which was attended by Chief Ministers and officials from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. During the meeting, preparations for upcoming elections, security arrangements, and issues related to member states were discussed. Additionally, discussions regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) draft proposal for Uttarakhand were held during the visit, suggesting that the UCC discussions may be nearing completion in the state.
