CM Dhami inspect relief work in Uttarakhand’s Sarkhet

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami takes stock of relief on the disaster in Sarkhet of Maldevta area. The Chief Minister presented checks of Rs.3 lakh each to the 13 affected families. Also instructed theofficers to speed up the relief and security works.

On Sunday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the ongoing relief works in the natural calamity affected area in Sarkhet. During this, the Chief Minister instructed the officials that the works should be expedited to restore the situation in the area. Said that assured the residents that every possible effort is being made by the government for the development of the area. The Chief Minister also distributed checks of relief amount to 13 families of disaster affected Bhainswara and Chhamrauli. Under which they were given three lakh rupees each for the first installment.

Kyara-Dhanaulti road will be constructed soon

The Chief Minister announced that the remaining 4 km motorway of the Kyara-Dhanaulti road would be constructed soon. A proposal will be sent under the Central Road Fund for the construction of the Lalpula-Sila-Moldhar-Suvakholi motorway near Maldevta. He said that when the disaster hit this area in August, the district administration did commendable work for relief and rescue work. The pilot of the helicopter also saved the common man by risking his life.

Assistance amount will be provided

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the affected people are being given lease papers for the construction of buildings and assistance to each affected family in last year's disaster in Sarkhet. This is the first displacement within the state, which has happened very quickly. For this, he thanked Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. During this, District Magistrate Sonika, District Panchayat Vice President Deepak Pundir, former BJP District President Shamsher Singh Pundir, Veer Singh Chauhan, Anuj Kaushal, Village Head Sarkhet Neelam Kotwal, Balam Singh were present.
