In Almora, the Merchant Navy officer, accused of indecency with the police team including the SO of the Women’s Police Station has been sent to jail after appearing in the court.
The wife has filed a case against Mohit Joshi, a resident of Malla Danya, Almora, in a case of domestic violence. On Monday, SO Barkha Kanyal of Mahila Thana had reached Mohit’s house for investigation with the police team.
It is alleged that Mohit misbehaved with the police team including the SO. He was further incensed when he protested the indecency on the part of the police team. He tried to obstruct government work. Mohit Joshi was arrested by the police in the night itself.
A case was also filed against him. Here, on Tuesday, the police presented him in the court. SI Hema Karki told that the accused has been sent to jail in judicial custody on the orders of the court.
