Muslim leaders to hold mahapanchayat in Uttarakhand

A decision on this was taken in a meeting of Ulama and responsible people under the chairmanship of city Qazi Maulana Mohammad Ahmed Qasmi at Jama Masjid, Paltan Bazar, Dehradun. This mahapanchayat has been called against the exodus and persecution of Muslims. People of Muslim community from other cities including Dehradun, Vikasnagar, Haridwar, Roorkee, Haldwani will participate in the mahapanchayat.

The mahapanchayat will be held behind the old bus stand on Gandhi Road. Imams of the mosques and responsible people attended the meeting at Jama Masjid on Saturday. The atmosphere going on in Uttarakhand during this period was discussed in detail. Said that the exodus of Muslims from the mountains inside the state and the persecution of Muslims by the administration is worrying.
