Uttarakhand Approves Service Sector Policy Aimed at Job Creation and Skill Development

Uttarakhand News: The Uttarakhand government has given its approval to a new policy for the service sector with the objective of generating 20 lakh employment opportunities and facilitating the skill development of 10 lakh workers in the state. This significant decision was made during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the State Secretariat.

Key Highlights of the Service Sector Policy:

1. Inclusion of Multiple Sectors: The policy encompasses a wide range of sectors, including health, education, hospitality, wellness, information technology (IT), data centers, sports, and the film industry.
2. Unprecedented Move: This marks the first time that Uttarakhand has approved a dedicated service sector policy, underlining the government's commitment to fostering growth in this sector.

Global Investors Summit 2023:
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also conducted a meeting with real estate investors to discuss residential projects and related matters in preparation for the "Global Investors Summit 2023" scheduled for December in Dehradun.

Dhami expressed confidence that the forthcoming Investor Summit would significantly contribute to the state's development and economy. He highlighted the government's efforts to attract investments and create employment opportunities for the local population.

The Chief Minister emphasized the enhancement of the single window system to streamline investment procedures. He assured that the suggestions received during the meeting regarding real estate would be incorporated into the future action plan.

Dhami reaffirmed the government's ongoing commitment to on-the-ground development through investments and the creation of new employment opportunities for the state's residents.

The approval of the service sector policy in Uttarakhand signals a strategic move to boost job creation and skill development in various industries.
