Under the programme, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit households across the state to distribute and collect enumeration forms from voters. Election officials have stated that all necessary arrangements have been made and enumeration forms have been provided to all 11,733 BLOs deployed for the exercise.
BLOs to Conduct Door-to-Door Verification
Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam appealed to citizens to cooperate with BLOs during the verification process. The campaign seeks to ensure that electoral rolls remain accurate and updated ahead of future elections.
According to officials, the revision will be conducted on the basis of the qualifying date of July 1, 2026. The door-to-door distribution and collection of forms will continue until July 7. During this period, the information submitted by voters will be digitized and uploaded through the BLO application.
Authorities said that if discrepancies are found while matching information provided in the forms with existing records, concerned voters may receive notices seeking clarification or supporting documents. Election officials emphasized that the process is intended to strengthen the accuracy and integrity of the voter database.
Voters can also use the “Book a Call” facility to contact their respective BLOs and seek assistance regarding the enumeration process. Eligible residents who are not currently enrolled in the voter list may also approach BLOs and submit the required application forms for inclusion in the electoral rolls.
The Election Commission has described the Special Intensive Revision as an important exercise to maintain updated electoral records and ensure that all eligible citizens are able to participate in the democratic process.
