Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the cabinet recently conducted a meeting, making significant decisions aimed at the welfare and development of vulnerable tribal communities in the state. The following key resolutions were passed during the meeting:
- Launch of Prime Minister's Tribal Adivasi Justice Campaign: The cabinet sanctioned the initiation of the Prime Minister's Tribal Adivasi Justice Campaign to uplift economically weaker tribal groups in the state.
- Approval for Infrastructure Development in Tribal Regions: The cabinet granted approval for the establishment of new Anganwadi centers, hostels, multipurpose centers, roads, and housing construction across 23 districts in special tribal areas.
- Implementation of SAKSHAM Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0 Scheme: The establishment and operation of 194 new centers in special tribal areas under the SAKSHAM Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0 Scheme were accorded approval. The operation of these centers will incur a total cost of 15.70 crores.
- Allocation for Tribal Hostels: A budget exceeding 384 crores was sanctioned for the construction of hostels in special tribal areas. This will result in the development of separate hostels for boys and girls near 110 bus stands in 55 locations across 20 districts.
