Uttarakhand cabinet expansion likely after Karnataka polls

Uttarakhand cabinet may expand soon. The speculation about filling the vacant posts in the cabinet has intensified. The four vacant ministerial posts in the Dhami cabinet can be filled after the Karnataka elections. BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt has indicated this. BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt says that after the Karnataka elections, there will be a meeting with the BJP top leadership in this regard. It is also believed that before the cabinet expansion, the performance of the existing ministers will also be seen and those with poor performance can also be dropped.

Apart from this, there can also be a discussion about the responsibilities. BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt says that BJP’s focus is now on Bageshwar by-election.

In fact, three ministerial posts were already lying vacant in the Dhami cabinet. A total of 4 posts are lying vacant after the demise of cabinet minister Chandan Ramdas. In such a situation, preparations are also going on to fill them.

These districts got representation in the cabinet

Waiting for representation in Tehri, Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar, Almora, Pauri and Champawat cabinet
Haridwar, Nainital, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh.

From the organizational point of view, the state president of the party from Chamoli district Mahendra Bhatt is a big face. There are possibilities of giving representation to Haridwar, Pithoragarh and Nainital districts in the new cabinet expansion. Special attention will be given to caste equations along with seniority, experience of the MLAs to be included in the cabinet.
