In a strong statement following the recent ceasefire declaration between India and Pakistan, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the Indian Army for its swift and powerful response to the Pahalgam terror attack, asserting that Pakistan was "forced to kneel" under the might of India's military strategy and courage.

“I am grateful to the Indian Army who forced Pakistan to kneel with their indomitable courage, valour, bravery and strategy,” CM Dhami said on Saturday, addressing media in Dehradun.

“A New Chapter in Military History”

Dhami lauded the army’s bold counter-offensive, highlighting the cross-border strikes conducted under Operation Sindoor, which reportedly targeted and eliminated multiple terror launchpads across the Line of Control.

“The way our army entered their border and wiped out their terror bases, it is clear that today our army is etching a new history,” he said.

Praise for PM Modi’s Leadership

The Chief Minister also extended gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, crediting his decisive leadership for empowering the armed forces to act with full authority.

“I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this decisive action,” Dhami added, claiming that Pakistan was compelled to appeal for a ceasefire within just four days of India’s military response.

Ceasefire Announcements Amid High Tension

The statements come just a day after the Governments of India and Pakistan, along with an earlier announcement from U.S. President Donald Trump, declared a temporary ceasefire in the region, following weeks of heightened tensions post the Pahalgam attack.
