Uttarakhand Monsoon Fury: Incessant rainfall over the past week has triggered rivers to swell beyond capacity, submerging villages and sweeping away homes. In districts like Haridwar, Pauri, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli, families have been forced to leave their houses as floodwaters continue to rise. Roads, bridges, and farmlands have been washed away, cutting off several towns from essential supplies.
Local residents describe the situation as “uncontrollable,” with many taking shelter in temporary relief camps. Essential services like electricity, clean drinking water, and healthcare remain disrupted in several regions, adding to the misery of the people.
Government’s Immediate Response
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has assured citizens that the state government is fully committed to helping those in need.
