Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand plans to engage in the works of Lord Shri Ram initially, followed by a significant move towards the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Before organizing the UCC in Uttarakhand, CM Dhami aims to transform the state into a Ram-centric environment. Various programs have been scheduled for all party MPs, MLAs, officials, and workers by the BJP. The plan includes making Devbhoomi (land of the gods) Ram-centric, connecting people with Lord Shri Ram and then proceeding with the implementation of the UCC.
He stated that the committee of legal experts from the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is expected to provide him with a draft report this month, but he will tackle this challenge after Ayodhya. His primary intention is to connect the people of the state with Lord Shri Ram and Ayodhya. The process will commence with morning briefings with officials, starting with Ram bhajans.
Efforts to Connect Uttarakhand to Ayodhya Through Transportation Services
CM Dhami has also raised the issue of connecting Uttarakhand to Ayodhya directly through air and rail services. He has written letters to the Union Ministers of Civil Aviation and Railways, urging them to consider the matter. Roadways bus services are also set to commence from major cities to Ayodhya, facilitating direct travel to the sacred destination. Additionally, the state government has planned a grand residence in Ayodhya for Uttarakhand residents.
The Chief Minister is keen on aligning the Uttarakhand government's theme for the Uttaryani Mela in Bagheshwar with the Ayodhya theme, awaiting the allocation of land from Uttar Pradesh for the same.
