However, curfew restrictions persist in the Banbhoolpura area, where mobs engaged in arson and vandalism.

While shops on the outskirts have resumed operations, schools remain closed in the aftermath of the unrest. Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, Law and Order, A P Anshuman, who is stationed in Haldwani, reported that patrolling efforts are ongoing in the affected area, assuring that the situation is under control.

In the Banbhoolpura area, where the curfew remains enforced, residents are allowed to purchase essential items as needed. Train services up to Kathgodam have been resumed, with no fresh incidents of violence reported so far.
Thursday's unrest resulted in the tragic death of six rioters, while over 60 individuals sustained injuries as locals attacked municipal workers and police with stones and petrol bombs during protests against the madrasa demolition. The situation remains closely monitored by authorities to ensure peace and stability in the region.
