Uttarakhand Rain Continues, IMD Issues Warning

There was a possibility of hailstorm along with rain in the mountainous areas of Uttarakhand on Wednesday 12 October. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding this. Apart from this, there is a possibility of snowfall in the areas above 3500 meters. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Center Dehradun, on October 12, there is a possibility of heavy rain and hailstorm in the mountainous districts of Uttarakhand along with lightning.

In view of this, a yellow alert has been issued for Wednesday. On October 13 and 14, light to moderate rain is likely at isolated places in the hill districts. The weather will remain clear in the plains districts. Light to moderate snowfall is likely in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on all three days.

However, there is no alert after 13 October. The weather is likely to remain clear in the state from October 15. On Tuesday, good rains were recorded in areas like Purola, Almora, Chakrata, Kedarnath, Gauchar etc. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be cloudy sky in Dehradun on Wednesday. Light to moderate rain is likely.

Due to the rains, a drop in the maximum temperature has been recorded in Dehradun. The maximum temperature of Dehradun on Tuesday was 27.8, which is two degrees Celsius below normal. The minimum temperature was 20.6 degree Celsius. Two mm of rain was also recorded in Dun.
