Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand is set to celebrate its Silver Jubilee Year in 2025 with a vision of unparalleled growth and progress. Reflecting on the achievements of 2024, CM Dhami outlined initiatives that have positioned the state as a leader in sustainable development and modernization.
Achievements of 2024: Building a Strong Foundation
The year 2024 witnessed Uttarakhand breaking new ground across various sectors. Scholarships and employment opportunities were introduced for youth, paving the way for their bright futures. Women empowerment took center stage with programs linking them to new livelihood avenues. Infrastructure saw a significant boost with expanded air connectivity and the establishment of smart classrooms in schools. Uttarakhand’s commitment to sustainable development was showcased by securing the first rank in the country for achieving sustainable development goals.
Efforts to preserve the state’s rich cultural heritage were reinforced by strict action against encroachments and other decisive measures. These initiatives have laid the groundwork for a prosperous future.
2025: A Year of Transformation and Opportunity
As Uttarakhand enters its 25th year, the government is set to introduce transformative changes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Hosting the National Games will place Uttarakhand on the national map, while significant policy reforms, including the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and revised land laws, will strengthen the state’s socio-economic structure.
The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will accelerate connectivity and development, and enhanced heli-services will improve access to remote areas. The state’s focus on women empowerment continues with the CM Sarathi Yojana, alongside efforts to modernize education. Improved management of the Char Dham Yatra through a dedicated authority will ensure safe and well-organized pilgrimages, further cementing Uttarakhand’s status as a spiritual hub.
A Vision for a Golden Future
Chief Minister Dhami called on citizens to join hands in making Uttarakhand the best state in the country. “Our aim is to lead in every field, ensuring Uttarakhand’s prosperity and progress for generations to come,” he said. The Silver Jubilee celebrations promise to mark a significant milestone in the journey of “Devbhoomi.”
