Uttarakhand to conduct survey of all Madrassas

After the Yogi government of UP, now the Dhami government of Uttarakhand is also going to start the survey work of madrasas in the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself issued a big statement regarding the survey of activities of madrasas in Uttarakhand and said that the survey action will be taken keeping a close watch on all madrasas.

Expressing concern, Chief Minister Dhami said that complaints are being received continuously regarding the functioning and activities of madrassas and hence it has become imperative to investigate them. He also said that these complaints are being taken seriously.

Also said that on the lines of Uttar Pradesh, survey of all madrasas of Uttarakhand will be done. On Monday, just a day before the Chief Minister’s statement on madrassas, former state spokesperson of BJP and newly appointed president of Uttarakhand Waqf Board Shadab Shams said that drugs, sex rackets and human trafficking are taking place in some hotels and dhabas in Kaliyar area.

Shadab Shams said that these matters are in the cognizance of the government and the police. The police are working continuously there and have also made many arrests. He said that he has received many such complaints. He also claimed that the people of the area are fed up with illegal activities. Many people are forced to leave their homes due to these illegal activities. Shadab said that there are very good people living in Kaliyar area also, work will be done to clean this mess by taking them along.
