In Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh, the issue of objectionable slogans raised by some people in the procession of Barafat has gained momentum. After the video went viral, the police have registered a case against 9 named and 10-15 unknowns. 2 minors among 7 detained for raising 'Sar tan se juda' slogans.
Actually, 12 Rabiul Awal festival is celebrated every year in a very simple manner in Jais, the shrine of owner Mohammad Jayasi in Amethi. This time also hundreds of people were celebrating this festival by taking out processions, but in the meantime a slogan stirred up. The slogan was- Gustakh-e-Rasool ki ek hi saza, sar tan se juda… Sar tan se juda'…
The video of people raising this objectionable slogan went viral on social media, due to which there was a stir in the area. Taking cognizance of the matter, the police have registered a case against 9 named and 10-15 unknown people. DIG Amarendra Kumar Singh reached the spot and investigated.
Amethi Superintendent of Police Ilamaran says that this video is from Jayas area, taking cognizance of which a case has been registered against 9 named and unknown people under various sections, in which 7 people have been detained, in which 2 minors. There are children too.
Like Amethi, objectionable slogans have been raised in Azamgarh too. In the religious procession going on near the old Kotwali under the city Kotwali, objectionable slogans were raised with the spirit of disturbing communal harmony by the chaotic elements. Here also some boys raised the slogan – Gustakh-e-Rasool ki ek hi saza, sar tan se juda… Sar tan se juda'…
On this whole episode, SP City Shailendra Lal said that 2 videos of some new age mischievous elements raising objectionable slogans have been released, which have come to the notice, a case has been registered, the mischievous elements have been identified and strict action has been taken against them.
