In his message, he honoured the supreme sacrifice made by those who stood fearlessly against one of the most horrific attacks in India’s history. He said the nation will forever remember their courage and dedication.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the spirit of a “New India” stands united against terrorism in all its forms. He highlighted that the country is committed to eliminating terror networks and ensuring that such cowardly attacks never find space on Indian soil again. His message also reiterated the importance of national security and collective vigilance.

The 26/11 attack, which shook Mumbai on November 26, 2008, remains a painful chapter in India’s fight against terrorism. The bravery displayed by NSG commandos, Mumbai Police, and other security forces during the 60-hour operation continues to inspire generations. Millions across the nation observe this day to pay homage to the martyrs and reaffirm the country’s resolve to stand strong against extremist threats.

He reiterated that “New India is united and determined to eliminate terrorism in all its forms.” The Chief Minister highlighted how the country has significantly strengthened its counter-terror capabilities over the years, ensuring quicker response mechanisms, modern equipment, and improved coordination among security agencies.

The 26/11 attack, one of the deadliest in India’s history, shook the world when heavily armed terrorists targeted multiple locations across Mumbai, including the Taj Hotel, Nariman House, CST railway station, and Leopold Café. The attack claimed over 160 lives and left hundreds injured.
