The murder case of Mafia Atiq Ahmed (Atiq Ahmad Murder Case) has reached the Supreme Court.

Advocate Vishal Tiwari has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) demanding an inquiry into Atiq and his brother Ashraf murder. In the petition, there is an application to conduct an inquiry under the supervision of a retired judge of the Supreme Court.

In his petition, Vishal Tiwari has also demanded an inquiry into 183 encounters in Uttar Pradesh after 2017.

Who is Advocate Vishal Tiwari?

Advocate Vishal Tiwari, a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), has been practicing law for almost a decade. He have been filing PIL on all issues related to public interest. During the second wave of the Corona epidemic, he filed a PIL in the Supreme Court, which became very popular.

In this PIL, he had demanded economic relief and said that due to Corona, inflation had broken people's back. In such a situation, exemption should be given in things like EMI to loan interest. Then the Supreme Court disposed of the application saying that economic matters come under the Centre. Later he also wrote a letter to the PM.

Advocate Vishal Tiwari was recently in discussion regarding the Hindenburg report on Adani Group. In this case too, he had filed a PIL in the Supreme Court and demanded a transparent inquiry into the Hindenburg Report, demanding the formation of a committee under the leadership of a retired judge.

Advocate Vishal Tiwari, in his PIL, claimed that the central government did not take any concrete steps on the Hindenburg report. This report had a negative impact on the country's economy.
