Agra Viral Video: On the evening of August 6, a group of men, claiming to be members of Bajrang Dal, forcibly entered the DP hotel of Shamshabad, Agra. They then enter a room and come out beating a boy named Salman for coming to the hotel with a Hindu woman.
The goons brutally slap and beat him with constant use of slang. But the woman with him in the saree begged for mercy with cries. The viral video of this shocking incident is making the netizens indulge in debates on the moral policing of the Bajrang Dal.
Bajrang Dal Storms Hotel in Agra Viral Video
The viral video, as shared by Journalist Sachin Gupta on his X handle, shows the violent punishment of the Bajrang Dal. The members of the group violently enter the hotel and knock on a room. As the victim, Salman, opened the room, they started slapping and beating him immediately. The lady who was with him in that hotel room came by, hiding her face in the pallu, crying and begging them not to beat his lover.
The initial report on this viral clip from Agra reveals that the members of the Bajrang Dal suspect that the Muslim boy was taking a Hindu girl in the hotel room. They claimed that they had looked at the register entry and thus wanted to punish the Muslim boy.
The incident left Salman with severe injuries on the face as they constantly slapped and beat him with their shoes. The hotel authority has already filed an FIR against the goons for their self-proclaimed moral policing.
Police Register Case, Cite Ongoing Action in Similar Agra Incidents
Acting on a written complaint, the Shamshabad police station registered a case on 7th August 2025 under the relevant sections. The Police Commissionerate Agra stated that legal proceedings are underway against those involved.
Authorities also pointed out that this is not an isolated incident, as similar communal altercations and moral policing cases have been reported in Agra in recent months. Police have assured that strict measures will be taken to curb such acts and maintain public order in the city.
Communal Tensions Spark Online Debate
This violent act of the Bajrang Dal has made netizens split in half. One part is supporting their act by saying “Full support to Bajrang Dal here, unlawful intercourse that’s zinha must be prevented any how“. They are also appreciating them for doing what actually should be done by the police. They say, “police ka kaam bajrang dal wale kar rhe hai“.
However, the majority of the netizens are saying that they have no right to do such violence. They are mostly taking this as sheer rowdiness by saying “Kya gundagrdi h ye“. One says, “isko kis ne ye adhikaar diya… Aap logo ko sarm to aayega nhi.” and “Why they are taking law & orders in der hands, this hindus ORG group if they have doubts dey should approach police”.
The Agra hotel incident has again put the acts of the Bajrang Dal in question. While abducting the girls from other religions for meeting sexual pleasure is undoubtedly a crime, the couple here have mutually come to the hotel room. This leaves no rights for any third party to interfere in their private affairs.
