Akhilesh Yadav, Jayant Chaudhary To Skip Rahul Gandhi Bharat Jodo Yatra

The Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress, which is being led by Rahul Gandhi, will enter Uttar Pradesh on January 3. Meanwhile, speculation has intensified regarding the opposition leaders of UP keeping distance from the yatra. There is a possibility that Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and BSP chief Mayawati will distance themselves from the Bharat Jodo Yatra. At the same time, RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary will also refrain from participating in this yatra.

The Congress had invited Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, BSP supremo Mayawati and RLD leader Jayant Chowdhary to join the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu to Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.

Akhilesh will distance himself from the Congress Yatra

According to the media report, Akhilesh Yadav is less likely to join the Bharat Jodo Yatra. However, it is not yet clear whether he will send any party leader to participate in Rahul Gandhi’s visit. According to a report, party spokesperson Ghanshyam Tiwari has said that Samajwadi Party supports the idea of Bharat Jodo Yatra, but does not want to confuse it by speculating on a possible political alliance.

Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi were seen together in the 2017 UP assembly elections. However, after that there was a distance between the two parties. The Samajwadi Party had performed better by fighting alone in the 2022 assembly elections and is in the role of the main opposition.

Mayawati and Jayant Chowdhary will also abstain

At the same time, RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary says that he already has a busy schedule, so he will not participate in Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Although he has definitely said that his party ideologically supports Rahul Gandhi’s visit. At the same time, speculations are also rife that BSP chief Mayawati will also refrain from participating in Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra.
