According to media reports, associates of Lakhimpur Kheri case accused Ashish Mishra allegedly attacked Prabjot Singh and his younger brother Sarvjit Singh, the prime witnesses in the case, with swords. Sarvjit has serious head injuries in the attack, while Prabhjot narrowly escapes.
Prabjot Singh has claimed that associates of Union minister Ajay Mishra's son Ashish Mishra were behind the attack. He has also registered his complaint regarding this attack in Tikunia police station, in which the name of Ashish Mishra has also been mentioned.
Four farmers, one journalist were killed in 2021
The police, however, denied any connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence behind this attack. It is said that the attack took place due to enmity between the two parties. Ashish Mishra is the main accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri case. He is accused of killing four farmers and a journalist on 3 October 2021 in Lakhimpur Kheri.
Lakhimpur Kheri SP Sanjeev Suman has said in a media report that the attack took place due to mutual enmity between two groups. This incident has nothing to do with Lakhimpur Kheri violence. A complaint has been registered at Tikunia police station. The police officer said that the matter is being investigated. The treatment of the injured is going on in the hospital.

Prabjot Singh told the media that my brother and I had gone to attend a function. During this, three people attacked us with swords. Sarvjit was badly injured during the attack. He has been admitted to the hospital. Where many stitches have been put in his head.
According to reports, on December 6, a court in Lakhimpuri Kheri framed charges against Ashish Mishra and 13 others in connection with the murder of four farmers and a journalist in the district last year. The trial will start from 16 December.
