Ayodhya Ram Mandir: In a significant development, the idol of Ram Lalla has been brought inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, marking a crucial step towards its impending installation. Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra shared details about the arrival and the anticipated installation scheduled for Thursday.
Idol's Arrival and Sanctum Sanctorum Entry
The idol, crafted in black stone by Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj and weighing approximately 150-200 kg, was transported to the temple in a truck. A special puja in the sanctum sanctorum preceded the idol's entrance, setting the stage for the significant installation process.
Crane-Lifted Idol and Symbolic Halt
A crane delicately lifted the idol from the truck during a procession that made a symbolic halt at the Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya. This pause carried symbolic importance, adding depth to the spiritual journey of the idol.
Anticipation for Thursday's Installation
Chairperson Nripendra Mishra expressed that the idol is likely to be formally installed within the sanctum sanctorum on Thursday, heightening the anticipation for this historic moment.
Rituals and ‘Kalash Pujan’ in Preparation
Rituals, including a significant ‘Kalash Pujan,’ are actively underway in the lead-up to the consecration ceremony scheduled for January 22. The meticulous preparations involve the participation of 121 ‘acharyas’ who are conducting the essential rituals.
Countdown to Consecration Ceremony
With rituals continuing until January 21, the consecration ceremony on January 22 is poised to witness the culmination of the extensive preparations. On this day, the minimum essential rituals required for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of the Ram Lalla idol will be carried out.
Timing of Pran Pratishtha
The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ at the Ram Temple is scheduled to commence at 12:20 pm on January 22, with expectations of concluding by 1 pm. This timing holds immense significance in the religious calendar, marking the consecration of the revered idol.
