A girl from the old city of Bareilly had been involved in a love affair with a young man from Bisauli, Badayun, for two and a half years. Consequently, they decided to arrange their marriage at a temple. On Monday, preparations were made at the Bhuteshwarnath Temple on Ramnagar Road, with the presence of the girl’s family members. All the necessary arrangements were completed. The bride, accompanied by her lover, arrived at the temple dressed up, but unexpectedly, the groom’s mood suddenly shifted, and he fled.

As soon as the bride discovered that the groom had escaped by boarding a bus, she immediately began chasing him. After pursuing him for a distance of 20 kilometers, she caught up to the bus, halted it in the middle of the road, and apprehended her lover. She then brought him back to the temple and forcefully married him. The groom had claimed that he was bringing his mother from Bisauli.
