CM Yogi Adityanath: AI Hub to Come Up in Yamuna City by 2030; MoU Signed for ₹2.2 Lakh Crore Project

If completed as planned, it would become the largest AI and data-centre investment project in the country.

CM Yogi Adityanath: In a major boost to India’s digital infrastructure ambitions, Hyderabad-based AM Green Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with Invest UP to establish a 1-gigawatt Artificial Intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing hub in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority region.

CM Yogi Adityanath: Project Details

Officials said the project will involve an estimated investment of ₹2.2 lakh crore and will be developed across 289 acres in sectors 28 and 8D near the upcoming Noida International Airport. The facility will include:

  • AI research laboratories
  • Large-scale data centres
  • Advanced computing infrastructure

The hub is planned to be built in phases, with initial operations targeted by 2028 and full capacity expected by 2030.

Technology and Sustainability Focus

According to YEIDA CEO RK Singh, the entire facility will run on round-the-clock carbon-free energy and is projected to host around 500,000 advanced chipsets, making it one of India’s largest digital infrastructure projects.

Strategic Importance

Company officials stated that the investment could position Uttar Pradesh as a leading destination for AI and data infrastructure. If completed as planned, it would become the largest AI and data-centre investment project in the country.

The development aligns with the state’s push under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to attract high-technology industries and transform the Yamuna Expressway region into a major technology and logistics corridor.

The project is also expected to significantly strengthen the regional economy by generating large-scale employment during both construction and operational phases. Officials estimate that thousands of direct and indirect jobs will be created across engineering, data science, cloud computing, facility management, and logistics.

In addition, the presence of such a massive computing ecosystem is likely to attract global technology firms, startups, and semiconductor-related industries to the Yamuna Expressway belt, accelerating the area’s transformation into a high-technology investment zone.
