Officials highlighted that the subsidy distribution ahead of the Holi festival is intended to ease household expenses and ensure uninterrupted access to clean cooking fuel. The scheme has been widely promoted as a public-health measure, reducing dependence on traditional fuels and minimizing indoor air pollution in rural and semi-urban homes.

State authorities noted that large-scale implementation of welfare programmes such as Ujjwala has also strengthened direct benefit transfer mechanisms, enabling funds to reach beneficiaries transparently and efficiently. Administrative teams across districts coordinated to verify beneficiary lists, streamline transfers and ensure timely disbursal.

Government representatives further stated that continued expansion of welfare schemes, combined with infrastructure and development initiatives, remains central to the administration’s policy approach. They emphasized that targeted assistance programmes are designed not only to provide immediate relief but also to improve long-term living standards and economic participation among marginalized communities.
