The government of Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, is accelerating tourism development in the religious town of Chitrakoot with the construction of a new eco-tourism theme park near the Ranipur Tiger Reserve.

According to the state government, the eco-tourism theme park is being developed by the Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board and is expected to open new avenues for tourism and economic growth in the region.

Officials said the park is being built over an area of around seven acres with an estimated cost of approximately ₹12 crore. The project aims to promote nature-based tourism while also improving infrastructure and visitor facilities around the tiger reserve.
The initiative is expected to attract tourists visiting the wildlife sanctuary and nearby religious destinations, strengthening Chitrakoot’s identity as a place that blends faith, nature and development.
Authorities believe that the development of the eco-tourism park will not only boost tourism but will also support the local economy by generating employment opportunities for residents and promoting small businesses related to tourism and hospitality.
The project is also expected to enhance awareness about wildlife conservation and sustainable tourism practices, encouraging visitors to explore the natural beauty of the region in an environmentally responsible manner.
Officials added that the development of tourism infrastructure around the tiger reserve will contribute to the overall growth of surrounding areas, improving connectivity and facilities while creating a new attraction for visitors travelling to Chitrakoot.
