CM Yogi Adityanath Highlights Cultural Identity, Mentions ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and New ‘Ji Ram Ji’ Government Initiative

Under Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the Uttar Pradesh government has consistently focused on positioning Ayodhya as a global centre of faith, heritage, and cultural tourism.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday made a strong cultural statement, underlining the growing national resonance of Lord Ram’s name across India. Speaking in a public context, the Chief Minister remarked that wherever one travels in the country today, expressions like “Ram-Ram” and “Jai Shri Ram” have become widely accepted and commonly heard greetings.

CM Yogi further pointed out that even government initiatives are now reflecting this cultural ethos. Referring to a recently introduced central government scheme, he said that the programme named “Ji Ram Ji” has also been launched in the name of Lord Ram, symbolising the deep-rooted connection between Indian cultural values and public welfare initiatives.

The Chief Minister’s remarks come at a time when Ayodhya has emerged as a major spiritual and cultural hub following the construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Under Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the Uttar Pradesh government has consistently focused on positioning Ayodhya as a global centre of faith, heritage, and cultural tourism.

Political observers view Yogi Adityanath’s statement as part of his broader narrative of cultural nationalism, where India’s traditional greetings, symbols, and spiritual heritage are being promoted as unifying elements of society. Supporters argue that such expressions strengthen cultural pride, while critics often see them through a political lens.

The Chief Minister has repeatedly stated that cultural identity and development are not mutually exclusive. According to him, respecting traditions while implementing modern governance reforms is key to building a strong and self-reliant India.

Yogi Adityanath’s latest remarks have sparked discussions on social media, with many users echoing his sentiment and others debating the role of cultural expressions in public discourse. Regardless, the statement once again places Uttar Pradesh at the centre of conversations around faith, governance, and national identity.
