Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Jan Dhan Yojana, emphasizing how the scheme has transformed India’s financial landscape by bringing the poor into the center of the banking system.
Yogi stated that earlier, banks were distant from the poor, but under the PM Jan Dhan Yojana, financial inclusion has reached every corner of society. In Uttar Pradesh alone, over 9.52 crore Jan Dhan accounts have become symbols of empowerment — ensuring security for mothers, confidence for farmers, and trust for workers.
Financial Inclusion Across Villages
The Chief Minister also highlighted the pivotal role of ‘BC Sakhi’ (Banking Correspondent Sakhi), who are ensuring banking accessibility in every village. Additionally, Common Service Centers (CSCs) have become the backbone of Digital India by providing essential government and banking services at the grassroots level.
From Accounts to Empowerment
CM Yogi remarked that the slogan “Khate se Shakti, Shakti se Samriddhi, aur Samriddhi se Swabhiman” (Power from Accounts, Prosperity from Power, and Self-respect from Prosperity) reflects the true spirit of the initiative. He noted that every citizen, even from the most marginalized background, can now proudly say — “I am not on the margins, I am part of India’s progress.”
The Uttar Pradesh government continues to support schemes that promote financial empowerment, rural self-reliance, and digital inclusion, ensuring that development reaches the last person in the queue.
