Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 229 development projects worth over ₹710 crore in Banda and the Baberu Assembly constituency, marking a major push for infrastructure and public welfare in the Bundelkhand region.

The projects cover key sectors including education, healthcare, roads, irrigation, drinking water, and other essential civic infrastructure. According to the state government, these initiatives are aimed at improving public services, strengthening connectivity, and accelerating the district’s overall development.
Chief Minister also distributed appointment letters
During the event, the Chief Minister also distributed appointment letters, sanction letters, cheques, Ayushman and Chief Minister Cashless Medical Cards, house keys, and tool kits to beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes. The government said these measures would help improve livelihoods and ensure the benefits of welfare programmes reach eligible citizens.
The Uttar Pradesh government stated that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state is focusing on rapid infrastructure development while preserving its cultural heritage. It added that efforts are being made to extend the benefits of government schemes to the last mile through a model of inclusive development and good governance.
The government believes the completion of these projects will strengthen Banda’s infrastructure, generate new employment opportunities, and contribute to the district’s long-term economic growth and development.
