CM Yogi emphasized that the state government is committed to boosting economic growth through ease of doing business and ensuring that citizens reap direct benefits from government-led financial reforms. He added that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a model state for implementing digital governance and transparency in taxation.
The Bachat Utsav will also focus on spreading awareness about digital payments, invoice matching, and GST return filing, helping traders adapt to the new tax structure with ease. Training and support programs are planned to ensure that even small shopkeepers and entrepreneurs can take advantage of the scheme.
Officials highlighted that the event is not only a financial reform but also a social campaign. By encouraging transparency and curbing tax evasion, the government expects to strengthen state revenue, which can then be redirected into welfare schemes for farmers, women, and youth.
CM Yogi pointed out that Uttar Pradesh has seen significant improvement in GST collection in the past two years. With this initiative, the government aims to push the state further on the path of becoming a leading contributor to India’s economy.
The Next Gen GST Bachat Utsav is expected to bring wider participation from traders and consumers, encouraging a culture of tax compliance while simultaneously strengthening the revenue base of the state.
