Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted the state’s administrative and governance reforms while announcing the launch of the two-day Regional Sadhana Series 2026 in Lucknow on October 23.

The programme is being held with the participation of eight states and four Union Territories, in the presence of Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Jitendra Singh. In a post on X, Adityanath said effective administration must bring positive changes to people’s lives and ensure that government schemes reach the most disadvantaged sections of society.

CM Yogi Adityanath Emphasises Mission Karmayogi

The Chief Minister said an efficient, sensitive and accountable administrative system was essential for delivering the benefits of government programmes to people at the grassroots level.

He credited the Centre’s Mission Karmayogi initiative, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, with helping reshape administrative work culture and improve governance practices. Adityanath also stressed the principle of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance” as part of the broader vision of public service and development.

CM Highlights Uttar Pradesh’s Transformation Since 2017

Reflecting on the state’s journey since 2017, Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh had moved beyond its earlier image as a backward state and was working to strengthen its administrative, economic and institutional structures.

He alleged that nepotism, appeasement and corruption had previously affected administrative efficiency and the state’s development potential. He also cited crime, mafia influence and policy inaction as challenges faced by Uttar Pradesh before 2017.

The Chief Minister said the state had since made progress towards becoming a stronger development-oriented state, with governance reforms playing a key role in that process.

Focus on Public Service and Inclusive Development

Adityanath said public servants were among the most important drivers of positive change in society. He emphasised that administrative efficiency and accountability were necessary to translate government policies into tangible benefits for citizens.

He added that Uttar Pradesh remained committed to inclusive development and the goal of Antyodaya, which focuses on the welfare of the poorest and most marginalised sections of society.

Concluding his message, the Chief Minister wished success to the Regional Sadhana Series 2026 and reiterated the state government’s commitment to contributing to the vision of a developed India.
