CM Yogi Adityanath : Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the leading state in the country under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, with more than 6.2 lakh rooftop solar installations completed as of June 2026, according to information shared by the state government.

Officials said the state accounts for nearly 17 percent of India’s total rooftop solar installations, making Uttar Pradesh the top-performing state in the implementation of the central government’s flagship residential solar scheme.
