Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has made significant progress in government recruitment over the past nine and a half years, with more than 9.30 lakh appointments made across various departments, according to Awanish K Awasthi.

Sharing the figures, Awasthi highlighted the employment opportunities created for the youth of Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

According to the statement, the recruitment drive has included more than 2.25 lakh appointments in the police department and over 1.50 lakh teaching appointments. Thousands of additional positions have also been filled in the health and medical education sectors.
The figures underline the government’s focus on expanding employment opportunities for young people and strengthening the workforce across key public services.
Awasthi said that the recruitment process in the state has increasingly relied on technology, transparency and merit-based selection. The approach is aimed at ensuring that eligible candidates receive opportunities based on their qualifications and performance.
The government has been highlighting recruitment and employment generation as important components of its youth-focused governance agenda. Large-scale appointments in sectors such as policing, education and healthcare are also intended to strengthen the delivery of essential public services.
The recruitment of more than 2.25 lakh police personnel is particularly significant for the state’s law-and-order infrastructure. Similarly, the appointment of over 1.50 lakh teachers is aimed at strengthening the education system and addressing workforce requirements in schools.
