According to officials, preparations are underway to welcome the Chief Minister, who is expected to interact with Vantangiya families and distribute gifts, sweets, and essential items to mark the festival. The event will also include lighting of diyas and cultural performances by local artists.

The Vantangiya community, once forest dwellers without land or civic rights, was granted recognition and basic amenities during Adityanath’s tenure. His annual visits to Van Grams during Diwali have become a symbol of social inclusion and empowerment of the most deprived sections of society.

Chief Minister has also used these occasions to review development work

In previous years, the Chief Minister has also used these occasions to review development work in the region and ensure better housing, education, and healthcare facilities for the Vantangiyas. This year’s celebration is expected to reinforce the government’s focus on rural upliftment and the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
