According to Yogi Adityanath, the selected candidates include 43 Sub-Inspectors in the Civil Police, 295 Constables in the Civil Police and 132 Constables in the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC).

470 Sportspersons Selected for UP Police
The latest recruitment under the skilled player quota covers a total of 470 athletes. Of these, 43 have been selected as Sub-Inspectors (Civil Police), 295 as Constables (Civil Police), and 132 as Constables in the PAC.
The appointment letters are intended to provide selected athletes with an opportunity to continue their careers in government service while contributing to the security and administration of the state.
Over 534 Sportspersons Directly Recruited Across Departments
According to the Chief Minister’s statement, more than 534 sportspersons have so far been directly recruited in various departments under the government’s efforts to support sporting talent.
Yogi Adityanath also said that the recruitment process for another 866 sportspersons in the Uttar Pradesh Police is progressing. The figures, according to the Chief Minister, reflect the government’s focus on creating employment pathways for athletes.
Sports Talent Linked With Government Employment
The Uttar Pradesh government has been highlighting sports recruitment as a means of providing athletes with career opportunities beyond competitive sporting events. Under the skilled player quota, achievements in sports can provide eligible candidates with avenues for recruitment to government posts.
