The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the inauguration and foundation laying of 83 development projects worth more than ₹396 crore in the Shravasti and Bhinga Assembly constituencies, aiming to strengthen infrastructure and improve public services in the region.

According to the state government, the projects will be launched on July 21, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Sitadwar, Ikauna, Shravasti. The initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to promote balanced development while preserving the historical, cultural, and spiritual significance of the region, which is closely associated with Lord Buddha.

The government said the projects will focus on enhancing road connectivity, public infrastructure, education, healthcare, housing, and civic amenities. Officials stated that the development works are intended to improve the quality of life for residents while supporting the region’s long-term growth.
As part of the event, beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes will also receive financial assistance cheques, house keys under housing initiatives, study kits, and Ayushman health cards.
The Uttar Pradesh government said it remains committed to promoting inclusive development by combining modern infrastructure with the preservation of the state’s rich cultural and historical heritage. It added that the latest projects are expected to strengthen Shravasti’s position as an important destination for heritage, spirituality, and tourism while boosting regional development.
