The CM Yogi Adityanath government has intensified efforts to build a transparent and technology-driven agricultural system through the Farmer Registry initiative aimed at improving access to government schemes and services for farmers.
According to the state government, more than 2.28 crore farmers have been registered under the digital Farmer Registry programme so far.

The initiative is being promoted as part of the government’s broader effort to modernize agricultural administration and strengthen digital governance in rural areas.
Officials stated that around 79.10 percent of the registration target has been achieved, while 87.19 percent of share determination work linked to the programme has been completed.
The government said the system is intended to make welfare delivery more efficient and farmer-centric.
Faster Access to Welfare Schemes
Authorities believe the digital registry will help streamline the implementation of farmer welfare schemes by ensuring accurate records and quicker verification processes.
The initiative is expected to improve access to subsidies, financial assistance, crop-related benefits, and other government support programmes for farmers across Uttar Pradesh.
