Complete Ganga Expressway By December 2024: Yogi Adityanath

Bundelkhand will soon get the gift of two new link expressways. Stating that the Bundelkhand Expressway, which has become the lifeline of Bundelkhand, is necessary to be connected with Jhansi and Chitrakoot, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that these two new link expressways will accelerate the development of Bundelkhand. While reviewing the progress of Expressway projects, Industrial Corridor and Defense Corridor on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that budget arrangements have been made for Chitrakoot Link Expressway and Jhansi Link Expressway.

The Chief Minister said that according to preliminary studies, the Chitrakoot Link Expressway would be of about 20 kms, while the Jhansi Link Expressway would be around 125-135 kms. He directed to start the process of land purchase by preparing a detailed report for the construction of both the new expressways. Said, the quality of work and the time limit of the project should be ensured. In the new India, the new Uttar Pradesh is getting a new identity as Express Pradesh.

Complete Ganga Expressway By December 2024

After dedicating Purvanchal Expressway and Bundelkhand Expressway to the nation, construction of Ganga Expressway and Gorakhpur Link Expressway is going on fast. The Chief Minister directed to plant saplings on both sides of all expressways on the occasion of Van Mahotsav this year. Said that the process of development of industrial clusters should be expedited on both sides of Purvanchal and Bundelkhand Expressway.

Expressing satisfaction over the progress of construction of Gorakhpur Link Expressway, he said that it will become a medium of excellent connectivity for Gorakhpur, Santakbir Nagar, Azamgarh and Ambedkar Nagar. The Chief Minister said that major defense product manufacturing companies of the country and the world are investing in the Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor, which is playing a leading role in making the country a hub of defense production.

So far, an investment of more than Rs 21 thousand crore has been made in the Defense Corridor. Big companies like Bramhos Aerospace, Aeroloy Technology in Lucknow node, Bharat Dynamics Limited in Jhansi node, Adani Defense System in Kanpur node, Emitech Electronics and Anchor Research Limited in Aligarh are setting up their units.
