Debt ridden couple commits suicide in Gorakhpur, husband places blame on the father

The bodies of a couple who committed suicide in the Uttar Pradesh district of Gorakhpur were found on December 8.The husband left a suicide note in which he accused his father of abandoning him.

The incident happened near the Pipraich police station in Jungle Dhushan, where the couple was renting a home. The woman was discovered dead in the bedroom, while the husband's body was discovered around 100 metres away.

Husband places blame on the father

Pipraich police station in-charge Suraj Singh stated that the husband was a resident of Chiutathan in the Sinduria area of Maharaj gunj. He and his wife rented a house in Jungle Dhusan even as their debt increased, Locals said the couple fought regarding the loan and got into quarrels frequently.

The spouse said in the suicide note that they made the decision to kill themselves because the father valued their daughters over them.
