Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday allotted pattas under the Forest Rights Act to 23 thousand 335 tribals of 12 districts, including Sonbhadra, on the Tribal Pride Day organized on the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda at Sevakunj Ashram in Babhni.

Sonbhadra had 3934 beneficiaries. The CM handed over the lease documents to the 12 beneficiaries on the stage with his own hands.

Addressing the tribal society, the CM said that those who have not yet received benefits under the Forest Rights Act, should not be disheartened. All eligible beneficiaries will be allotted pattas under the Forest Rights Act in a phased manner.

During this, the Chief Minister inaugurated 56 projects worth Rs 19580.67 lakh and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 37963.69 lakh.

He said that the double engine government is fully committed to the upliftment of the tribal society, which has preserved its culture since the beginning of human civilization. This is also the main purpose of celebrating Tribal Pride Day. Making a promise to the gathering, the Chief Minister said that all those tribal families who do not have a roof over their heads would be given houses. For this, they will be covered under the Prime Minister's and Chief Minister's Housing Scheme.

He said that if any tribal family does not have land to build a house, then land will also be provided to it. The State Government is constantly making efforts to improve the basic facilities in the tribal areas. Departmental coordination has been established for this, so that the work is completed at the earliest. Minister of State for Social Welfare (Independent Charge) Aseem Arum and Minister of State for Social Welfare Sanjeev Gond also addressed the function.

Service dedication for the tribal society, the work of the institute is commendable


Appreciating the Seva Samarpan Sansthan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the way it has worked for the upliftment of the tribal society since independence is exemplary in itself. Without any administrative support, the institute has done the work of teaching the children of the tribal society. Today the students of the institute are uplifting the country and society by becoming IAS, PCS, PPS. It is said that there will not be any such district in the whole country where people belonging to 13 tribal communities live together. He also counted all the 13 tribes by name.

Sonbhadra, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Balrampur, Bahraich, Bijnor, Mirzapur, Saharanpur, Chandauli, Lalitpur, Chitrakut and Gonda.
