Etawah Viral Video: Daughter-in-law Slaps Father-in-Law Mercilessly Over Money Demand, Netizens Demand Action

An Etawah Viral Video has gone viral, it relates to the Etawah area of Uttar Pradesh, where a lady is observed smacking and dragging her aged father-in-law, who is sleeping on a cot. The incident occurred at Rahatpur village within the limits of Bakewar Police Station. The woman in the video, which is posted on x (formerly Twitter) News 24, can be seen beating the old man over and over again, even as some witnesses, including her father, observe this at the place where it happens. She is also said to be encouraged by her father as she is assaulted.

Video Goes Viral, Police Take Action

Once the Etawah Viral video started trending on the social media platform, @etawahpolice began to take cognizance of it. According to the complaint received by the victim, a case was also registered against the woman and other members of her family by the police.

@etawahpolice responded: The case has been registered under relevant sections at Bakewar Police Station, and further investigation is underway.

Victim Identified as Jai Kishan

Jai Kishan, the father-in-law of the accused woman, has been named as the victim. His son Dharmendra, stated in the FIR, married Supatra one year before. The couple just gave birth to a child, yet Supatra is still with her parents. Jai Kishan said that his daughter-in-law returned to live with her husband, and instead of doing so, required the monthly allowance. He told her that he would support her since he was the only one remaining at their home, which was the moment.

FIR Details & Allegations

Per the FIR, Supatra and her father just turned up at Jai Kishan and began beating him up. The old man claimed that his daughter-in-law had been pestering him with money and intimidating him when he declined. It culminated in a point where residents came to his rescue.

The case has been registered under appropriate sections at Bakewar Police Station; further legal proceedings are underway, said @etawahpolice.
