Ghaziabad: Charges in gang-rape case ‘false’, woman hatched plot to frame accused, say police

According to police, an alleged gangrape in Ghaziabad was actually a case of the woman trying to frame the guys because they have a long-standing property dispute. She will probably face action.

“She was with two of her friends for the two days — the duration for which she’d alleged she’d been kidnapped and raped by five men,” said Praveen Kumar, UP’s regional police chief, on Thursday.

After Delhi Commission for chairman Swati Maliwal tweeted that the 36-year-old was found wrapped in a jute bag, with her hands and legs tied, and with an iron rod placed in her private parts, the case grabbed attention, and the woman, a resident of Delhi, was hospitalised on Wednesday.
