Ghaziabad, a city under the CM Green Road initiative, is set to undergo a major facelift as the Municipal Corporation plans to beautify six key roads. With a detailed DPR (Detailed Project Report) in place, the comprehensive plan includes widening of roads, vibrant cycle tracks, green belts along roads, colorful paintwork, and underground wiring. The allocated budget for this ambitious project stands at INR 349 crores.

In a recent inspection, Mayor Sunita Dayal, accompanied by officials from the construction department, examined the proposed works under the CM Green Road initiative. Chief Engineer N.K. Choudhary, Administrative Engineer Desh Raj Singh, Assistant Engineer Ganesh Lal, and Sub Engineer Vinod Kumar were present during the inspection.

The initiative encompasses the widening of roads, construction of elevated and concrete footpaths, plantation of beautiful flowering plants, and eye-catching paintwork. Additionally, a six-inch elevated and colorful cycle track will be created along the roads. Underground wiring will be implemented for a neat and aesthetic appearance.
To enhance the overall beauty, green areas will be developed along the roads, adorned with lush grass. The plan also includes the installation of 20-meter tall artistic murals along the road edges, accompanied by sculptures and statues. Mayor Sunita Dayal emphasized the importance of incorporating vibrant fountains, animal statues on pedestals, and the installation of traffic signal lights for road safety.
During the inspection, Mayor Sunita Dayal directed the officials to install colorful fountains, animal sculptures, utilize waste plastic for creative artworks, erect statues of lions, implement red lights for traffic control, and focus on creating an overall grandeur for the city. The initiative aims to give Ghaziabad a distinctive identity and a visually appealing environment.
