The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has taken a major step toward digital governance by simplifying the property-related payment process through its Pahal Portal. The initiative promotes a safe, transparent, and user-friendly digital payment system, ensuring efficiency and convenience for residents.

Through the Pahal Portal, citizens can now complete a range of property transactions — including allotment payments, transfer fees, penalties, and other dues — from the comfort of their homes. The system enables real-time transaction tracking, generates instant receipts, and maintains a detailed digital record for future reference.
According to GDA officials, the shift to a digital mode aims to minimize in-person visits, reduce administrative bottlenecks, and curb malpractices by eliminating middlemen. “We want to ensure that people don’t have to stand in long queues or face delays. The Pahal Portal is a step toward smarter, transparent urban service delivery,” an official said.

In addition, the portal is mobile-friendly and designed to work seamlessly on both desktop and smartphone browsers. The GDA has also launched a public awareness campaign to educate residents about using the platform, ensuring no citizen is left behind in the digital transition.
The move is being welcomed by property owners and developers, many of whom see this as a long-overdue reform that enhances trust and accessibility in dealings with the GDA.
