Ghaziabad News: All schools in the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh have been directed to remain closed for Classes 1 to 8 until December 30, 2024, due to ongoing heavy rainfall and bone-chilling weather conditions. The District Magistrate issued the directive to prioritize the safety and well-being of students.

The district administration has also mandated that classes for students in Class 9 and above should not begin before 9:00 AM during this period.

Adverse Weather Conditions Prompt Precautionary Measures

Ghaziabad has been experiencing persistent rainfall and freezing temperatures, making travel and outdoor activities particularly challenging for young students. To mitigate risks associated with the harsh weather, the decision to close schools was extended to institutions affiliated with UP Board, CBSE, ICSE, and other educational boards.

The official notification stated, “In view of heavy rainfall in the district, and in compliance with the instructions issued by the District Magistrate, all schools for Classes 1 to 8 in Ghaziabad district will remain completely closed from December 28 to December 30, 2024. Additionally, classes for students in Class 9 and above should not be conducted before 9:00 AM."

Administration Focused on Student Safety

This move is part of the district administration's broader efforts to ensure the safety of students during adverse weather conditions. School managements and parents have been urged to adhere strictly to the instructions and monitor further updates from the authorities.

Ghaziabad joins several districts across North India that have taken similar measures in response to the ongoing cold wave and rainfall, ensuring minimal disruption to student well-being.
