Trapped in Society Lift for 15 minutes, residents of the Ghaziabad society blames authorities for negligence

Ghaziabad News: There was complete chaos in the society when the Residents of the Ghaziabad’s Govid Puram area got stuck inside the lift after a sudden failure. The people inside the lift panicked and started screaming for help. The residents were taken out with the help of the other local people and the Technician. The incident took place around 5pm at the Gaur Home Residential Complex.

‘Small children are at risk, issue needs immediate attention’

The residents raised the matter in front of the Society Members and asked them to fix it as soon as possible. Some of the Eyewitnesses witnessed the incident said that what if there were kids, these kinds of incidents are very risky for the children as they keep going down to play or sometimes for their coaching classes. The authorities should keep an eye on the maintenance of the lifts from time to time to prevent such incidents.

‘The maintenance of the lift should be checked regularly’

Meanwhile the Society members have taken a note of the matter and assured that they will make sure a guard should be there all the time to assist the person using the lift especially children. It is their responsibility to check the maintenance of the lifts in the society.
