A Spiritual Marvel Amidst Aviation: Jewar Airport's 242-ft Adiyogi Statue

Jewar Airport to get Lord Shiva Statue by Sadhguru

Greater Noida News: The Isha Foundation, known globally for its spiritual endeavors, is set to construct a towering 242-ft Adiyogi (Lord Shiva) statue near Jewar Airport, following approval from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Here’s what you need to know about this remarkable project:

Approval and Endeavors

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has greenlit the Isha Foundation’s proposal, marking a significant step towards realizing the majestic Adiyogi statue and the accompanying ashram. Efforts led by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, the foundation’s founder, included discussions with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, ultimately securing the necessary approvals.

Land Acquisition

For the project’s execution, the Isha Foundation has requisitioned approximately 200 acres of land near Jewar Airport from the Yamuna Authority. This sizable land allocation underscores the grand scale of the envisioned endeavor.

Surpassing Records

The Isha Foundation already boasts the tallest Adiyogi statue globally, standing at 112 feet in the Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore. With plans to erect a 242-ft tall statue near Jewar Airport, the foundation aims to surpass its own record, symbolizing a new pinnacle in spiritual architecture.

In Sync with Jewar Airport Development

The decision to embark on this iconic statue project aligns with the ongoing development of Jewar Airport, which commenced in November 2022. With progress reaching approximately 65%, key milestones like the Air Traffic Control tower handover and runway finalisation are slated for completion by December 31.
