Gyanvapi News: In a significant ruling, the Varanasi court has granted permission for Hindus to conduct prayers within the cellar of the Gyanvapi mosque. Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain confirmed that Hindus would be allowed to offer prayers at 'Vyas Ka Tekhana', with arrangements to be made by the District Administration within seven days.

Prayers Permitted in Sealed Cellars

Following this decision, prayers will be permitted within ten sealed cellars of the mosque, marking a crucial development in the ongoing dispute.

ASI Report Unveils Controversy

The decision comes amidst controversy fueled by the ASI report, which allegedly provides evidence that the mosque was constructed after the demolition of a temple. The Hindu side has further petitioned the Supreme Court for a survey of the 'shivling' believed to be situated within the sealed area of the mosque.

Context of Religious Disputes

This verdict emerges in the wake of heightened tensions surrounding religious sites, including the recent consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, and ongoing disputes such as the Shahi Idgah mosque in Mathura.
