Initially, the carriers would be operating flights to Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai. Other cities that may soon flights from the Noida International Airport include Kolkata, Chennai, Goa and Ahmedabad.

Boost To Regional Connectivity

The launch of flights from the Jewar Airport would significantly boost regional connectivity. Presently, the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) is the busiest airport in the Delhi NCR region and therefore faces increasing pressure due to rising passenger volumes.

Key Connectivity Advantages

Residents of Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and several parts of Delhi along with parts of western Uttar Pradesh will have a closer and more convenient airport option.

Travellers who presently spend endless hours to reach the IGI Airport would benefit from shorter commute times.

Passengers would enjoy more options and potentially better fares due to competition as multiple airlines would be operating from Jewar.

Economic Boost For Local Businesses

The development of Jewar Airport would stimulate a massive surge in the demand from airline staff, travellers and business visitors. This would open avenues for hotels, restaurants, ATMs, guest houses and serviced apartments. Cafes and retail outlets would open up near the airport and along the connecting highways, resulting in higher footfall. Roadside eateries, dhabas and shopping malls would also benefit from higher footfall. Commercial and residential real estate demand would also rise in areas around Jewar, Noida and Greater Noida.

With improved air connectivity, logistics companies would establish hubs near Jewar, enhancing cargo movement efficiency and creating thousands of direct as well as indirect jobs. Moreover, Noida International Airport would drive economic growth in the NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh while strengthening the country’s aviation infrastructure.
