As the sacred month of Shravan approaches, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the state’s preparedness for the Kanwar Yatra 2025, a massive annual pilgrimage attracting millions of Shiva devotees.

24x7 Surveillance with Drones and CCTV in Sensitive Zones

In a decisive move to ensure law and order, the Chief Minister directed round-the-clock surveillance in all sensitive areas. He instructed the deployment of drone cameras and CCTV to monitor the Kanwar routes continuously. Intelligence agencies have been told to remain on high alert and track any suspicious activities or attempts to disturb the communal harmony during the Yatra.

CM Yogi made it clear that any mischief or attempt to disrupt the pilgrimage will be met with strict and immediate action. He reiterated the state’s zero-tolerance policy towards any law-and-order disturbance, stressing the importance of peace and security throughout the holy month.

Food Quality Checks to Ensure Devotees’ Safety

Apart from security, the Chief Minister laid special emphasis on food safety. He instructed the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) and local authorities to conduct frequent quality checks of food and beverages served to the devotees. Strict actions have been advised against anyone found violating hygiene norms or selling substandard products.

He also urged the officials to work in coordination with local bodies, police departments, disaster management authorities, and volunteers to ensure the smooth movement of Kanwariyas, availability of clean water, sanitation, and medical facilities at all halts and campsites.

The CM has asked for daily monitoring of arrangements, especially during peak Yatra days, and has encouraged public cooperation to uphold devotional spirit, discipline, and safety during the massive religious gathering.
